Melvina Callion

Melvina Callion received her B.S. degree in biology from the University of Arkansas and her M.S. degree in experimental pathology from New York Medical College in Vahalla, N.Y.. Melvina’s extensive laboratory experience includes responsibilities as a senior laboratory technologist in the areas of hematology, clinical chemistry, serology, coagulation, urinalysis, blood bank, microbiology and andrology.

Her work experience expands across the country including laboratory work at Walter Reed Army Medical in Washington, D.C., the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, Harper Grace Hospital in Detroit, Stamford Hospital in Connecticut, and now Greenwich Hospital where Melvina has worked for over 20 years.

The Greenwich Fertility and IVF Center welcomes Melvina’s vast laboratory experience and dedication to her field. Melvina joined our new fertility program in the Spring of 2003 and was responsible for opening our Andrology Laboratory and developing and implementing the laboratory’s policies and procedures.
Melvina is a member of ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathogists), AACC (American Association of Clinical Chemisty), CLMA (Clinical Laboratory Management Association) and SCC (Society of Cosmetic Chemists).
