IVF Nurse Coordinator – Greenwich Hospital, Greenwich Fertility and IVF Center

Lina Spartos, R.N., received her nursing degree from Misericordia Hospital School of Nursing in New York City and her bachelors degree from Mercy College. Lina’s established career in OB/GYN and women’s health began over 25 years ago as a staff nurse on the labor and delivery units of Jacobi Hospital and Lawrence Hospital in New York.

In 1994, Lina joined the specialized field of Reproductive Endocrinology as a clinical nurse manager providing nursing leadership in both private practice specializing in fertility treatments as well as large teaching hospital fertility programs. Lina was responsible for coordinating the IVF nursing protocols and procedures as well as training and managing all incoming nursing staff for two large fertility practices in White Plains, N.Y. and Norwalk, CT. For 5 years, Lina managed the nursing staff and IVF program at Montefiore Hospital’s Fertility and Hormone Center in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. which treated over 500 IVF cycles a year. As an integral member of the clinical and management teams performing evaluation and treatment for patients, Lina’s experience includes proficiency in phlebotomy, ultrasound, and artificial insemination procedures and techniques.

Lina joined the Greenwich Fertility and IVF Center in July, 2003 where she is responsible for the coordination and future development of the nursing department’s patient services and for providing leadership to its staff members.
